Laid back Mercury Live on De Villiers Street
often hosts some of the top South African
rock acts, while The Purple Turtle hosts
some of the heavier acts.
Drumming
If you like music but want more of a hands-on
experience and you prefer the beat of your

hire a drum and take part in a communal drumming
session or join one of the drum workshops

and Canal Walk Shopping Centre in Century
City offer late-night shopping until 9pm
